The Souss-Massa University Hospital Center is subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance, it was created on June 2018 (decree n ° 2-17-589) in application of law 70-13 relating in university hospitals. It provides tertiary level care, providing general, specialized and sub-specialized care to patients.
It aims to make its region a national center of medical excellence and contributes significantly to issues in the fields of health, science, knowledge sharing and economic and social development.
In terms of organization, the centers are transversal structures bringing together activities, units and/or medical services which may be attached to different departments. Each center has a steering committee made up of representatives of all the medical specialties concerned.
Provides medical and surgical care, generalized or specialized, ordinary or emergency, of adult patients.
Ensures the care of child pathologies and gynecological and obstetric pathologies as well as the care of parturients.
Specialized in psychiatric pathologies and mental health as well as the management of: Addictology, Child psychiatry, Geriatric psychiatry.
